Mr. Jorge Aranda has been a Portuguese diplomat since 1998. He is currently the Deputy Permanent Representative of Portugal at the UN in New York. Previously he was Security Policy Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lisbon. He had been posted before to Copenhagen, Berlin, Warsaw, Helsinki and NATO in Brussels. He was appointed Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister, to the Secretary of State for European Affairs and to the Secretary of State for National Defence in different Portuguese Governments.
