Ms. Stepanyan studied at the Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov and obtained the qualification of English and German Language Specialist, Teacher.

Besides, she has graduated from the Global University London (UCL) International Institute of Education and Dyslexia online course "Methods of support for children with reading and writing difficulties". She also completed the "Autistic Spectrum Disorders" online course at the University of California, Davis.

Ms. Stepanyan has participated in the Women's Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Communication Program of the Asian Development Bank/AUA Continuing Education Department at the American University of Armenia/AUA extension.

She is an equal consultant of "Recovery College", approved by the Armenian Psychiatric Association.

In 2004-2020 she worked at "EVANT Group" LLC as General Manager. Meanwhile, in 2017 she founded and headed the "Step Forward" social NGO.

Ms. Stepanyan used to be a member of Impact Hub Yerevan within the framework of "Zartir Fellowship".

Since 2019, she has been member of the public council under the Health Minister.

Since 2019 - member of the public council under the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.

She speaks three languages -  English, Russian, German.

Since 2020, Ms. Stepanyan has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of RA and has been heading the Department of Equal Opportunities with its four large divisions dealing respectively with the Issues of Children, Persons with Disabilities, Elderly People and of Women Rights, Gender and Counter-Trafficking Agenda.
